March 21, 2017 The Call – Independent investigation into #TrumpRussia Urge your members of Congress to publicly demand an independent investigation of Russian interference in our election and the Trump campaign’s ties to Moscow. At the House Intelligence Committee hearing Monday, FBI Director James Comey confirmed that the FBI has an on-going investigation into the Trump campaign’s coordination with Russian officials, which it started last July. Comey and NSA Director, Admiral Michael Rogers also debunked Trump’s tweeted claims that former President Obama wiretapped him. Republicans on the Committee showed little interest in investigating the Trump campaign’s contacts with Russian officials and focused almost solely on demanding vigorous investigation and prosecution of those who may have leaked information about the on-going investigation. Representative Devin Nunes [R-CA], Chairman of the House Intel Committee, and Senator Richard Burr [R-NC], were both on the Trump transition team and, at the White House’s request, agreed to knock down investigation rumors to journalists. However, given Republicans lack of enthusiasm for investigating Trump’s campaign, it’s time to demand an independent investigation so the American people can have confidence in the results.
