June 8, 2017 The Call – #WrongChoiceAct #DoddFrank The House will vote on Thursday afternoon (after 4 pm) on the Choice Act (H.R. 10). The Choice Act dismantles the Dodd Frank rules that corrected abuses that caused the Financial Crash of 2008 and Great Recession that followed. The bill also eliminates the Consumer Financial Protection Board (CPFB), which protects consumers from abusive practices by financial institutions. @DHStokyo wrote an excellent Twitter thread on the impact of the Choice Act on the Dodd Frank protections. Republicans are touting the bill as eliminating “too big to fail” but it does so in a dangerous way that doesn’t allow the government to intervene to save the US financial system. Everything about the Choice Act is the Wrong Choice and the Republicans seem to be trying to quietly get a vote while people are focused on the Comey testimony. Your Action Call your Congressperson and urge him or her to vote No on the Choice Act (H.R.10). Talking Points

It’s a dangerous plan to loosen the Dodd Frank rules meant to prevent another financial crisis.
Consumers are the losers if the Consumer Finance Protection Board is eliminated.
I want [Rep/Sen____] to vote No on the Choice Act (H.R.10).
